Baccarat rules and instructions

Baccarat rules

When playing baccarat, you will not be competing with the casino, but with Luck itself. The aim of the baccarat game is to guess who will have more points after the cards are dealt - you, the banker, or the round will end in a tie. So the main thing is not victory, but intuition. (If you are already familiar with the baccarat rules you can skip the next chapter and read the baccarat rules instructions to the virtual play mode only).

Baccarat rules

Cards are dealt from the special box (shoe) that holds 8 shuffled decks divided into two packs at random. After all cards from the first pack have been dealt during the game, the 8 decks are being put together again and divided into two parts as well.

The players make bets on the player, the banker or tie. You cannot bet on both banker and player, only on banker and tie or player and tie at the same time.

In the beginning of the game 2 cards are dealt to both the player and the banker. The rest of the game depends on the sum of each two cards. Ace is counted as 1 point, tens and face cards as 0 points and the rest of the cards are counted as their face value. The suit of the cards does not matter. Comparing the player's and the banker's cards only the right digit of the sum is taken into consideration. For example, you get the cards of 8 and 9 points, they are 17 in total, and the right digit is 7. The points are calculated from 0 to 9, so it is impossible to bust.

A situation when either the player or the banker has either 8 or 9 points is called natural 8 or natural 9. The natural 9 is the strongest hand in the game and cannot be beaten. The natural 8 can only be beaten by natural 9. If one of the players has natural 8 or natural 9, the game stops and points are calculated.

In other case the game goes according to the following scenario.

The player is the first one to try his luck.
Points accumulated - the sum of the first two cards Prescriptions
0-1-2-3-4-5
Take a card and pass the turn to the banker
6-7
Pass the turn to the banker without taking a card

Then comes the banker's turn.
Points accumulated - the sum of the first two cards If the player stands, then the banker hits on a total of 5 or less.

Baccarat instructions

  1. Fields on the baccarat tableTo begin the game, choose the value of the chips you wish to make bets with. To do that, click on the chip of appropriate value in the lower right corner of the screen.
  2. You can make bets on 3 fields: banker, player and tie. Then move your cursor to the middle of the screen and click on any of them to place your bet there. You can also bet on two fields at the same time, for example on banker and tie or player and tie, but not banker and player. Every click will increase your bet by the amount of the chip selected (if you wish you may change the chip value).
  3. If you wish to change the bets you placed, press Clear Bets. Or holding the space key click on the chips to remove them from the table one by one. After that place bets again.
  4. After the bets have been made, click on Deal - the player and the banker will be dealt cards.
  5. The history of played sets is displayed on the indicator panel at the right end of the screen. At the left column you can see the player's score; at the right column - the banker's (dealer's) result; at the middle column there are ties. The results appear on the panel from top to bottom and the newest one is marked with a triangle pointer. Not more than 5 lines can be displayed simultaneously. The round winner's point sums are displayed white. In the total line all sets (but not the latest 5) are calculated.
  6. After the round end you may push the Rebet button to make the same bet as you made in the previous round.
